Dr. Heidi Ensley

Dr. Heidi Ensley grew up in Florence, a small town in south central Kansas on the edge of the flint hills, with one younger sister. While growing up in Marion County Heidi was involved in sports, music, and community activities. She graduated in 2007 from Washburn University, Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry. She completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Missouri St. Louis College of Optometry, in May 2012 as a member of Beta Sigma Kappa honor society and the Dean’s List with Honors.

Dr. Ensley enjoys seeing patients of all ages and practicing the full scope of optometry including vision correction, eye teaming problems that affect learning, and management of ocular disease. She is a member of American Optometric Association, Kansas Optometric Association, and the Early Bird Lion’s Club of Arkansas City.

When not seeing patients, Dr. Ensley enjoys activities outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Richard and family. She also enjoys taking her two dogs Bruno and Cohen hiking and to the dog park.
